Chandra Taal surrounded by the Chandrabhaga & Mulkila Massifs is a popular destination for trekkers & campers accessible on foot from Batal about 100 kms from Manali. The trek to Chandra Tal from Kunzum pass is an easy down hill walk with magnificent views. Vast meadows on the banks of the lake is a perfect camping site.

Beas Kund Trek
The Beas Kund trek is one of the most popular treks in Manali which takes one to the origin of the river Beas at an altitude of 3690 mts. The trek to Beas Kund starts near Solang nallah and the trail to Beas kund from Solang Nalla is approximately 15 kms long. A jeep road goes up to Dhundi from Solang Nala where the SASE, Manali, has a study unit. From Dhundi to Bakkar thach - a highland meadow is a liesurely walk. The next stop on this trek is Beas Kund. Base camp to Hanuman Tibba is ahead of beas Kund.

Chandrakhani - Malana trail is an easy 3-day trekking trail in Manali which starts near Naggar about 20 Kms from Manali. One can choose to start the trek from Naggar or Rumsu village. Chanderkhani Pass is located south-east of Rumsu Village.
